About

Our mission

To deliver safe, efficient, and scalable ship lifting solutions that improve shipyard productivity, reduce costs, and support the decarbonisation of the maritime industry.

Whale Dock addresses the growing mismatch between supply and demand in large-vessel lifting systems.

The global maritime fleet continues to grow in size and complexity, while shipyard infrastructure remains largely constrained by traditional dry dock and floating dock capacities.
At the same time, environmental regulations and sustainability requirements are becoming increasingly demanding, reshaping how shipyards and ports operate worldwide.
Despite these evolving challenges, ship lifting technologies have seen limited structural innovation over the past decades.
Whale Dock has been conceived to address this new operational landscape, offering a flexible and scalable ship-lifting approach designed to improve efficiency, support more sustainable operations, and adapt to the future needs of shipyards and repair facilities.

Prevents waste generation

Does not use marine greases or lubricants.

Eliminates the need to replace and dispose of steel wire ropes used in conventional lifting systems.

Aligned with European Regulations

Directive 2010/75/EU on the reduction of emissions and leakages.

MARPOL Annex III: EU restrictions on hydrocarbon-related waste

Each component of our system has been carefully designed, modelled, and validated. The rendered simulation shown below replicates the real-world behaviour of the solution, allowing its operation to be visualised prior to physical implementation.
